Hammer Reckoning Bowling Ball When the heavy oil calls for more traction, more control, and more power, Hammer Reckoning is ready to deliver. If you want to attack early and read the lane with aggression but still need predictability, then the Reckoning is the ball for you. The Reckoning features Hammer's new Vindicator Asymmetric Core with the advanced HK22C2 Solid Reactive coverstock.

This bowling ball is available for pre-order. It will ship on release date.
Release date: Nov. 19, 2026

The Hammer Reckoning was built to dominate heavy oil lane conditions with an earlier read, powerful midlane traction and a strong, rounded backend motion that continues to drive through the pins.

The Reckoning is not a skid-flip ball that saves its reaction for a late, sharp change of direction downlane, but a ball that gets early traction, builds momentum through the midlane and continues with a controlled hook through the breakpoint.

The Reckoning features a low RG asymmetric core with a high flare potential to deliver the extreme hook performance you expect from Hammer. It comes with a 15 lb RG of 2.474, differential of 0.053 and intermediate differential of 0.016.

Whether you need a high rev bowling ball for heavy oil, an aggressive asymmetric solid reactive bowling ball, or a powerful tournament ball that reads the lane early, the Hammer Reckoning has the strength and control you need to take charge.

Vindicator Asymmetric Core - Less RG, More Asymmetry, Earlier Motion

The Hammer Reckoning features the all-new Vindicator Asymmetric Core engineered to deliver a stronger, earlier-reading ball reaction.

The Vindicator core has three significant performance characteristics, 15 lb RG of 2.474, differential of 0.053 and intermediate differential of 0.016.

Low RG: Helps the ball get into rotation motion earlier.

High Differential: Offers a lot of track flare potential to help expose new coverstock surface to the lane.

Greater Asymmetry: Enhances the versatility of the ball’s reaction characteristics and drilling options.

These characteristics work together to help the Reckoning find a groove earlier and build some serious momentum through the middle of the lane.

The Vindicator core is built to generate a robust, rounded reaction, rather than a very sharp change of direction at the backend.

The Reckoning is an aggressive performance package built for demanding oil conditions for the bowler looking for a low RG asymmetric bowling ball with high flare potential.

HK22C² Solid Reactive Coverstock – Ultimate Traction on Heavy Oil

The Hammer Reckoning is equipped with the HK22C² Solid Reactive coverstock, engineered to provide the traction required for extreme hook potential on heavy oil patterns.

The coverstock is designed to pair with the Vindicator core to help the ball create friction early and remain strong through the midlane.

The Reckoning is designed to offer a strong overall hook, which starts to come together sooner, rather than focusing on a long, front-of-the-lane length.

This makes the Reckoning a very good choice when you need more traction than softer or cleaner reactive bowling balls can provide.

The Hammer Reckoning is a dependable and powerful response for bowlers looking for a solid reactive bowling ball with aggressive midlane traction.
